Arraignment

At the time of your arrest or the issuance of police paperwork, you were told to request an arraignment within 10 days. If you fail to schedule or request a court date a bench warrant will be issued for your arrest. If you missed this deadline you can find out more information at fightyourwarrant.com. Prior to this first court appearance we will assume the responsibility of notifying the Court that we represent you on the charge. The purpose of the arraignment is for the Court to announce a formal filing of the charge. We will enter a Notice of Appearance on your behalf with a corresponding plea of NOT GUILTY. One of the benefits of hiring a private attorney to represent you in a misdemeanor case is that we are able to appear on your behalf through our paperwork, and you are free to go about your normal business. We will, of course, always keep you updated as to the outcome of those appearances once we receive notification from the clerk of court.
