Plea in Absentia

A plea in absentia is an “absent plea.” It means that an attorney comes into a courtroom to enter a plea on your behalf without you being present. This can be an important service to you if you live out of the area, or if you have important matters or physical impairments that keep you from the courtroom.

At the law office of Finebloom and Haenel we work with our client’s individual needs. We recognize that some clients may be arrested while on vacation or while travelling through our area. Because of this, they may not have the ability to make the several appearances necessary to resolve their case. Our attorneys have the ability to take action on your behalf. If our client decides to resolve their case without trial, but is unable to appear, we can make the necessary arrangements. At Finebloom and Haenel we strive to make this process as easy as possible. We understand that contact is essential for making you comfortable, even if you reside out of the area, and for that reason we are accessible 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. In addition to traditional methods such as e-mail and phone, we have alternative methods of communication (such as Skype) available for your convenience.
